Service Officer Wanted for the Service Office in Uppsala

We are now looking for someone to assist us during the summer holiday period in the role of service officer at the service office in Uppsala.

We work with a service-oriented approach where you and your colleagues take joint responsibility for your mission and learning.

Main Responsibilities

As a service officer, you provide quick and professional service to visitors by answering questions from individuals and businesses. A large part of your work involves guiding customers to use the e-services of cooperating authorities and finding information on websites. In your role, it is important that you listen actively, adapt your approach to the customer, and have a pedagogical attitude.

In your customer meetings, you will have support from the various authorities' IT systems. In addition to introduction and training, time is allocated each day for you to familiarize yourself with the information you need to stay updated on news and changes affecting the service office's operations. You may also be required to work at other service offices, which sometimes happens at short notice.

Qualifications

You are driven by providing our customers with good service by identifying each customer's needs and providing answers or guidance. Since you work closely with customers, you must feel comfortable in direct meetings with customers from various backgrounds and abilities. In short, we are looking for someone who has both a positive demeanor and the ability to quickly acquire new knowledge.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • An ongoing or completed academic education of at least 180 credits or equivalent knowledge gained through work experience
  • At least two years of experience in a service role where you have informed and guided customers in personal meetings
  • Knowledge of information retrieval and experience using e-services

Furthermore, you should possess the following abilities:

  • Quickly establish contact with others in an objective and professional manner
  • Map the customer's needs by asking questions and listening actively
  • Communicate verbally and in writing in Swedish
  • Communicate verbally in English
  • Adapt your working methods to the varying needs of customers
  • Handle multiple customers simultaneously
  • Contribute positively to the results and collaboration of the workgroup

Additionally, it is advantageous if you have:

  • An interest in future work as a service officer with us
  • Current and relevant experience from work or internships at a government agency

Other Information

The employment is temporary during the period from June to August. The position is full-time. Start date to be agreed upon. The position is located at the service office in Uppsala. We do not have the option for remote work. Travel may occur.
